Jobcentre Plus Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire District is committed to helping you fill your vacancies quickly with the people you need. The organisation is being developed to reflect the needs of employers by utilising targeted employer engagement strategies that will ensure services are delivered through channels appropriate to each employer group. Candidate interview facilities are available at many Jobcentres, however, should you wish to hold interviews at an alternative venue Jobcentre Plus staff can provide assistance on the day eg receptionist duties. Hamilton Jobcentre recently managed a recruitment campaign for Police Constables with Strathclyde Police by:
- handling responses to National Press advertisements via a dedicated recruitment line
- conducting initial telephone screening on applicants
- collating statistical information on daily on response levels
- issuing application packs
- collating returned packs and forwarding to Strathclyde Police.
Chief Inspector Ian Currie (Head of Recruiting Department) for Strathclyde Police said "The support provided by Jobcentre Plus has been invaluable in this huge recruitment exercise. Their staff are well organised, efficient and fully committed to the delivery of a professional service."

Strategic partnerships are those which affect Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire District as a whole and the local partnerships are those which local Jobcentre Plus managers maintain in order to meet the needs of the specific geographical community.
