Forth Valley, Fife and Tayside District
Forth Valley is at the heart of Scotland and covers three Local Authority areas of Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire. Situated at the Centre of the Scottish motorway system, Forth Valley stretches from the petro chemical complex at Grangemouth through to the National Park of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, as far north as Crianlarich and Tyndrum. Visitor attractions include the Bo’ness Preservation Railway and the Falkirk Wheel.
The Tay Bridge to the north and Forth bridges to the south border Fife. In the east we have the home of golf, St Andrews, while over to the west lies the ancient capital of Scotland Dunfermline.
Dundee and Angus has a contrasting landscape, where rugged coastlines, gentle lowlands and Highland Glens, merge with world-class golf locations set against dramatic and breath-taking scenery. Tourist attractions include romantic castles, glistening beaches and stunning formal gardens. Dundee City is a modern, 21st century, cosmopolitan city, which blends shopping, art, theatre and culture. To the west, the city of Perth is the gateway to the Highlands.
Forth Valley, Fife and Tayside District covers 7 local Authorities: Angus, Dundee City, Perth and Kinross, Fife, Clackmannanshire, Stirling and Falkirk, who are all key partners and stakeholders. Within the District there are 18 Jobcentres.
